This accretion contains a 2% sample of case files for inmates incarcerated at Green Haven (624 case files, ca. 84 cu. ft.); Fulton (387 case files, ca. 52 cu. ft.); Lincoln (492 case files, ca. 67 cu. ft.); Queensboro (148 case files, ca. 20 cu. ft.); Bayview (297 case files, 40 cu. ft.); Edgecombe (358 case files, ca. 48 cu. ft.); and Parkside (139 case files, ca. 19 cu. ft.) correctional facilities. In addition to the 2 per cent case files sample, prisoners receiving life sentences and sex offenders account for the bulk of the case files. Files for inmates who died in custody and for inmates of Asian and Native American ethnicity are also present.

Bushwick Correctional Facility, located in Brooklyn, New York, was also known as Bushwick Rehabilitation Center and Bushwick Community Based Center. It was administered by the Narcotics Addiction Control Commission under the Office of Mental Hygiene, and served as a work release and general confinement facility from the late 1960s through the middle 1970s.
